Kirk Cameron became a household name in 1985 when he starred as Michael Seaver on the television sitcom Growing Pains. Candace Cameron Bure, Kirk's youngest sister, garnered fame by playing the role of D.J. Tanner in the
exceedingly popular sitcom Full House in 1987. Both Kirk and Candace have enjoyed long careers in television and film. Candace has recently played the lead role in the Hallmark Channel's The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries that ran from 2015-2022. Both Kirk and Candace have shared their faith in Jesus Christ boldly in the media.
However, it was their sister Bridget Cameron (Ridenour), the second of four children and the first girl, who was most eager to be an entertainer. Though she played an important role behind the camera in Full House and other television shows, and has befriended many celebrities, Bridget struggled to get on-screen roles. She felt "overlooked" as she struggled with obscurity while her siblings became world famous.
Her book, Overlooked, is a fascinating read. It gives the reader a peak into what it was like for an average and normal suburban family to become transformed by Hollywood. She also shares how her family came to faith in Jesus Christ and how Bridgette's own family survived a near death experience.
Bridgette, who co-starred in a movie with her brother in 2014, is now a sought after speaker at conferences around the country. Her book is inspirational for all those who feel "overlooked". She loves to use Jeremiah 29:11 to encourage her readers that God has a wonderful plan for everyone and that He never "overlooks" anyone.
Thanks to the creative outreach of Holly Young, I am scheduled to interview Bridgette this Friday morning at 10 am. I have decided to allocate three consecutive episodes of the radio show to this interview with Bridgette, May 21-23. I will produce a 30-second commercial to run on WEZE AM 590 and WROL 950 AM next week to promote the interview.
Her agent wrote to me on Friday:
That all sounds great, Charles! Featuring Bridgette for the week is an incredible opportunity that we're so grateful for. I think it will help with your getting repeat listeners and keep people wanting
more.
Please pray for the following:
- That I will give Bridgette a delightful interview experience
- That listeners will purchase her book and support her ministry thanks to the interview.
- That my connection with Bridgette will create more awareness and interest in Gramazin and my books.
Blessings,
Charles Wagner
